Conversation with Harinder Singh (2nd Discussion): 1984 Path of the Warrior Saints

Due to popular demand, a 2nd talk with Harinder Singh has been scheduled. Harinder Singh, Senior Fellow, Research and Policy, at the Sikh Research Institute, engages Sukhman Singh, Co-Founder and Director of Ensaaf, in a discussion on the occurrence, breadth and aftermath of the Sikh Genocide.

The discussion aims to shed light on the systematic campaign of violence perpetrated by the Indian State against the Sikh community, which led to thousands of disappearances and extrajudicial killings. Ensaaf, a human rights organization, has documented nearly 20,000 such cases, highlighting the extensive nature of the atrocities committed.

Harinder Singh, with his insights into the Sikh spiritual and socio-political realm, will offer an in-depth analysis of the events and their lasting impact on the Sikh community and its diaspora. Sukhman Singh, representing Ensaaf, will share the organization’s extensive research and findings on the human rights violations and the struggle for justice for the victims and their families.

The event is designed to foster a comprehensive understanding of this dark chapter in Sikh history, promoting awareness, remembrance, and the pursuit of justice. It will serve as a crucial platform for dialogue, reflection, and education, ensuring that the narratives of those affected are heard and acknowledged, and the lessons learned from this period continue to inform the global discourse on human rights.

The event is free but requires registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1984-path-of-the-warrior-saints-exploring-the-sikh-genocide-tickets-877064091307?aff=oddtdtcreator
