Join us for Sikh Heritage Month, as we seek to explore the narrative of our dastaar in Canadian contemporary history and our current political climate. Although, we as a community have made strides in integration, the legitimacy of our dastaar in the workforce remains questioned.
Through their lived experiences, Ranjit Singh, Baltej Dhillion, Fiaz Lalani and Amrit Kaur we will explore secularism in the workplace and Canada, growing trend of laïcité (limiting religious expression in public spaces), acceptance of the dastaar, advocacy and WSO legal challenge against Bill 21.
