World Sikh Organization of Canada in celebration of Sikh Heritage Month presents Facing Adversity Through Art: An Expressive Arts Workshop
We are a community of tremendous strength, but we also face daily challenges triggered by the pandemic, #FarmersProtest, and ongoing systemic racism such as #Bill21. This has increased cases and severity of depression and anxiety across all ages in our community.
The WSO invites you to join us on April 25th at 2pm PST for a special workshop. Founder of @art_as_therapy and Art Therapist Rapinder Kaur RP will guide us through simple creative prompts that explore how connecting to our inherent, Waheguru given creativity can nourish our minds, help us better manage our daily challenges and keep us in Chardi Kala.
Note: No previous art making experience required. For this virtual expressive arts workshop you will only need access to basic art materials; a couple of sheets of paper, tape and/or glue, scissors and any one of the following: markers, pens, pencils, pastels, or simple paint
All ages can join however this workshop is most suitable for older teens and adults.
